Namibia skies

A late afternoon thunder storm and shower produced this rather lovely, forgivably gaudy sunset on Sunday, 4 December 2005.

Yet another of those bright blue skies that
Europeans flock to see. Note the hopeful appearance
of a small cloud in the top center of the image.
Namibians are optimistic, if nothing else.

Oh, wow! This sunrise made the coffee taste
a whole lot better.

Now showing in Swakopmund...
the sunset that made the town great! Strangely

enough , the sun looked far larger when the shot
was taken.

Desert moon. Lucky shot on the road
between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay.
Rain clouds move in from the east.
In the storm that followed, the Arebusch River
that flows through western Windhoek, flooded houses
in the communities of Acacia and Dolam.
